Ukraine's Storm Shadow Missile Destroyed The Bridge Connecting Kherson With Crimea

Ukrainian troops fired a Storm Shadow cruise missile and succeeded in breaching the bridge connecting the Kherson region with Crimea.

The leader of the Russian forces in Kherson, Vladimir Saldo, had this to say on his Telegram channel:

This is the bridge connecting Crimea and Kherson via the Chonhar peninsula, Newsweek wrote in its report.

"The road surface on the bridge is damaged. There were no casualties," Balance added.

Crimean governor Sergey Aksyonov said the Chonhar bridge was hit by a missile late on Thursday.
Ukraine has not yet commented on the reported missile attack on the bridge, which is also called the "Gate to Crimea".

In a Telegram post on Thursday, a Russian military blogger explained the significance of the reported attack on the bridge.

On May 11, Britain became the first country to supply Ukraine with long-range cruise missiles when it provided Storm Shadow.

According to Fabian Hoffmann, an expert on missile technology, they have the potential to strike the Kerch Strait Bridge, Russia's only link to Crimea, which Ukraine hopes to retake in a counteroffensive.

Ukraine has said that its Storm Shadow missiles have hit all of their Russian targets so far.
